Racing Classes
SKA sanctions seven classes spanning all ages and experience levels — from first-time drivers to seasoned competitors. Ages shown are indicative; refer to the current SKA Rulebook for confirmed eligibility.
Midgets
The pinnacle of SKA competition. Full gearbox engines deliver explosive speed on dirt ovals across Australia.
Sub-Junior
The ideal starting point. Focus is on learning car control and racecraft in a safe, controlled environment.
Junior
More speed, more skill. Juniors compete at sanctioned race meetings and are eligible for state-level events.
Junior Standard
A bridge class preparing young drivers for senior competition. Increased power, same commitment to safety.
Standards
Light / Heavy
Senior class split into Light and Heavy weight brackets so all drivers compete on equal terms regardless of build.
Modified
Senior gearbox class for experienced competitors. Modified engines deliver maximum performance on the dirt.
125 Non-Gearbox
125cc non-gearbox class offering highly competitive senior racing at both club and national championship level.
